In Memory of Rory Gould

 

     
 

The Washington Transgender community has lost a steadfast leader and champion.  Rory Gould -- co-founder and mainstay of Washington Gender Alliance, providing support for the Transgender communities of Everett and Bellingham – died over the weekend after a battle with cancer.  Rory dedicated his time and energies to his community year in and year out and touch the lives of many people across our region.

Marsha Botzer, founder of Ingersoll Gender Center remembers Rory:

“Rory was a colleague in the great struggle for justice and fairness, a tireless worker, and a man who helped so many people find peace.  Goodbye, Friend.”

His work and legacy continues on in the work of Washington Gender Alliance that continues to hold meetings Tuesday nights in Bellingham at 7:30PM and Wednesday night in Everett at 7:30PM.in Bellingham at 7:30 PM and our 516th Wednesday night meeting in Everett at 7:30 PM at 7:30 PM and our 516th Wednesday night meeting in Everett at 7:30 PM.

Rory is survived by his partner Barbara Yaple, with whom he co-founded Washington Gender Alliance.
